MIMOSA & BELLINI

DOB: 18 months & 10 months
Sex: Female
Breed: Scottish Fold
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000016023302 & 956000016599396
Location: Rowville, VIC

Adoption Fee: Foster to Adopt
Adoption fee will be $800 for both

Mumma Mimosa and her baby Bellini are looking for a foster with a view to adopt home in Melbourne. This mother and daughter duo are extremely bonded and would like to stay together forever! Age-wise, we believe that Mimosa is 1-2 years old and Bellini is around 8-10 months.

While we think Mim had some handling in her formative months, unfortunately it appears that little Lini missed out all together and this has had a lasting impact on her. We do believe that with time and patience in the right home, Lini will start to blossom, but for the moment she is a very shy girl who does not like to be handled. She does however love a pat when she feels safe and while she hasn’t yet joined in playtime with her mum and foster mum, she has been caught having a play on her own, when she thinks there are no humans around!

Mimosa on the other hand is absolutely obsessed with playing ‘thing on a stick’ with her foster mum and will protest the end of the game by sitting in the toy and meowing for “just 5 more minutes!” Both girls enjoy a chat and often talk to each other and their foster mum. The girls both eat well and use their trays and are for the most part pretty low maintenance family members. While both girls are now pretty comfortable with their environment and foster carer, new people do cause them to revert to being timider and more unsure. It’s for this reason we’d like to find them a foster with a view to adopt home, where they can have plenty of time to settle in and already be in what should be their forever home. We believe this is the best way the girls will be able to grow in confidence at their own pace.

As previously mentioned, both girls have abnormalities in their feet and tails due to their Fold gene, but they don’t seem at all bothered by it at this stage. It is possible that as they age, they will need some joint support supplements and pain management and any potential home will need to be aware of this, so they can look out for signs of discomfort as the girls age. Mimosa is already a very entertaining and interactive cat, and we truly believe that Bellini will continue to become more interested in her people and getting attention over time, and that she’ll start to mimic her mum and blossom into a more confident version of herself.

Mim and Lini are looking for a mature, routine orientated, home that is peaceful and relaxed. They would be ok with a friendly existing cat who is happy to give them time to get to know them, but they would prefer no dogs, as they’re a bit overwhelming for them. If you think you might have the perfect forever home to offer these gorgeous young ladies, you can complete an adoption questionnaire via the button below. While in our care they have both been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, parasite treated and have had extensive x-rays of their joints.

Pandora

DOB: 15/04/2016
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Coat: Medium
Microchip: 953010001072511
Location: Caulfield, VIC

Adoption Fee: $200

If you're searching for a gentle companion who’s ready to claim her spot as the queen of your home, Pandora, or Pandy as her foster mum calls her, may be the perfect match! This lovely lady has a delicate soul, and she’s happiest in a calm, serene setting where she can feel secure. This unfortunately means no kids but older, respectful teenagers may be okay.

When given a safe and secure environment Pandy is able to settle quickly which means lots of snuggles on the couch and naps in your bed. She loves to see what’s going on and would really enjoy a cat scratcher in her new home. She loves to watch the birds through the window and is content to keep herself busy while you’re outside the house throughout the day. She isn’t a huge eater so is happy to graze on food throughout the day. Her diet preferences are simple: she does well on urinary dry food but is a little picky with wet foods. We’ve found some that she likes so we’ll make sure you know too.

Pandy is looking for a pet-free indoor only home (or one with a secure enclosure) that values her gentle personality and will treat her like the princess she knows she is. With the right family, Pandy will blossom into the loving, loyal, and quietly regal companion she was meant to be.

villanelle

DOB: 22/10/2011
Sex: Female
Breed: Scottish Fold
Coat: Long
Microchip: 956000017471147
Location: Rowville, VIC

Adoption Fee: $400

Villanelle is a senior girl who still has a playful side. She loves to play with toys when she’s not sunning herself in a window or having a nap somewhere cosy. She’s also a big fan of catnip toys and will roll around with them in absolute bliss! Much like her namesake, Villanelle does have a flair for the dramatic, if her bowl is empty (or she just feels like it), she will call out to alert her people to her existence, just in case they’ve forgotten! This generally only happens once or twice a day and the rest of the time she’s not an overly chatty cat but does have a fantastic purr.

Villanelle is still on the skinny side, despite putting on some much-needed weight while in care, but we will provide a list of her favourite foods to keep her weight going in the right direction. Villanelle is looking for a quiet, mature retirement home where she can get in plenty of lap time and generally live a quiet life. She would like to be the only pet in her forever home so she can have all the attention to herself and not be bothered by other animals.

Villanelle arrived in care having been shaved due to matting and with her tail inexplicably fused solid in place which caused her lots of issues. She has now had the bulk of her tail removed and this has made life much easier for her. She will need regular brushing as her coat grows back in and will likely need the odd tidy up as seniors often do.

Villanelle is a very special girl, looking for an equally special home that will lavish her will all the love and attention she wants and help her maintain her health in her senior years. To assist with this, Villanelle will send her home with some supplements to assist with this. She is of course, desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments. Villanelle is in care in Rowville and is looking for a home in or around Melbourne.

SIR PERCI

DOB: 27/1/2012
Sex: Male
Breed: British Shorthair
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000008445365
Location: Brighton, VIC

Adoption Fee: $400

Even though Perci is an older guy he is an energetic and engaging cat who loves to keep you on your toes. He loves to investigate his surroundings and is happy to climb if he’s given the means to. Once he is settled he is a very confident man who loves to play if you find the right toy, he particularly loves any toy with catnip in it. He loves to flop onto his back and show you his tummy, it looks like he wants belly scratches but it’s definitely a trap.

While Perci’s weight isn’t too bad, his size is impacting his ability to groom himself so he needs a home that’s willing to brush him even if he isn’t a fan. He is currently a good weight but continued exercise will help him to maintain this. Perci loves head scritches and some body pats but like many British Shorthairs he likes these on his own terms. He is very clear when he has had enough and as long as his family are willing to listen he will continue to be his smoochy self.

Perci can be a little bit touchy around the base of his tail and while there’s nothing wrong with it now, we suspect he had an injury at some point and still worries it will hurt. Perci would be best suited to an adult home environment, preferably one with previous British Shorthair experience. While he arrived in care with another cat, he would be best off in a home of his own with no other pets.

While in our care Perci has had a dental, to ensure his teeth are clean and sparkling. He is desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments.

Little BEAN

DOB: 20/01/2018
Sex: Male
Breed: Persian
Coat: Long
Microchip: 978102100104624
Location: Ascot Vale, VIC

Adoption Fee: $850

Little Bean is the sweetest, most agreeable little muffin you’ll ever meet. This guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has nothing but sweetness and love for all people that he meets.

As you can see, Beanie has an XXL tongue blep 👅 and while it may seem cute, sadly, the inability to hold his tongue in his mouth can be uncomfortable and extremely inconvenient for the poor lad, making eating, drinking and grooming a challenging. The reason Little Bean’s tongue permanently hangs out is a combination of a large number of missing teeth and an extreme underbite. There is nothing we can do to fix this and unfortunately Little Bean will have to live with this issue for the rest of his life.

After some time in care Beany is doing well on a dry food diet, although he can have wet food if it’s the right consistency. His new home will need to be willing to provide Little Bean with appropriate food and he will go to his new home with suitable bowls for his face shape. He also requires a daily (sometimes twice) face clean and would do best being kept in a short coat, as long hair is just too much for him to manage.

While Beanie is pretty sedate most of the time, enjoying snoozing in front of a heat vent or watching the world go by out a window, he really comes alive when given interactive toys! Anything that moves on its own is instantly of interest to Bean, who very cleverly tries to outsmart the toys at their own game! Little Bean has previously lived with friendly dogs and would enjoy doggo company in his new home. While Bean has lived with other cats, he's been pretty clear while in foster that he'd really like to be the only feline in his forever home. Bean is otherwise looking for a calm home without young children.

While in care, we have discovered that Little Bean has IBD (Irritable bowel disease) and have successfully begun treating him for this. Going forward, Beanie may need to stay on the IBD medication, but this is just a tablet a day (possibly less) so it’s not a particularly onerous addition to his day. All going well he may be able to come off the medication in time and have his condition managed solely by his diet.

Little Bean has so much joy and love to bring to a very lucky home and we can’t wait to see him settle in and start his forever life!

Hubert

DOB: 13/08/2007
Sex: Male
Breed: Chinchilla
Coat: Long
Microchip: 978102100104624
Location: Narre Warren South, VIC

Adoption Fee: $300

Hubert is just a cool dude searching for true love in his twilight years. At 17, he’s curious, loving, and full of personality. Like many senior cats, he can be a bit stubborn, especially when he suspects that you’ve tried to sneak dry food into his bowl—but that’s all part of his charm! Hubert is the bestest boy, always happy to keep you company as you go about your day, whether you’re making dinner or folding the washing. When it’s time for bed, he’s right there, ready to snuggle up with you all night long.

Despite his age, Hubert is still active and sprightly, with no issues jumping up onto things. He spends his days finding the warmest spots to snooze or sitting on the windowsill watching the world go by. He’s also quite the chatterbox and has a knack for learning where you keep the food. Don’t be surprised if he tries to lead you there for an extra treat!

Hubert gets along great with other friendly cats, so we’re open to homes with a compatible feline friend. However, he’s also available to an only-cat home where someone is home more often than not so he can be spoiled as he deserves. He would thrive in an adult household or one with teenagers who understand the needs of this dapper gentleman.

While in our care, Hubert has been clipped, had a dental procedure, and undergone two successful rounds of lump removals. He has no ongoing medical needs but will need a family willing to provide any necessary care should he need it in the future. Hubert is desexed, microchipped, and up to date with his vaccinations and parasite treatments. He is currently in care in Narre Warren South and is looking for a home in Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs. If you think you’re the one(s) for Hubert, please apply via the button below.
